Welcome, and thank you for considering Makeup By Jazz Diaz — I’m a mobile Central Coast makeup artist providing bridal, event and lesson-based makeup services across the Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Greater Sydney area. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you (“the Client”) and me, Makeup By Jazz Diaz (“I,” “me,” “my”), when you make a booking. By booking a service, you agree to these Terms in full.
To secure your date, I require a 25% deposit at the time of booking — this confirms your appointment exclusively for you. By paying your deposit, you’re agreeing to these Terms in full. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable once paid, except where the law requires otherwise or I’ve agreed to an exception with you in writing beforehand. For brides, I always recommend booking a trial ahead of your big day, so there are no surprises when it matters most.
Once your deposit is paid, the remaining balance is due according to your booking type:
- Weddings and large group bookings (4 or more people): full balance due 7 days before your booking date
- Individual appointments and small group bookings (up to 3 people): full balance due 48 hours before your booking date
If payment isn’t received by these deadlines, I reserve the right to cancel the booking, and any monies already paid won’t be refunded. I accept payment by card or bank transfer — if paying by bank transfer, please include your full name as the reference so I can match your payment quickly.
Deposits are always non-refundable, including in the case of a change of mind. Beyond the deposit, how much of the total booking value is still payable if you need to cancel depends on your booking type and how much notice you’re able to give:
Weddings and large group bookings (4 or more people)
- More than 7 days before your booking: 50% of the total booking value is retained or payable
- Within 7 days of your booking: 100% of the total booking value is retained or payable
Individual appointments and small group bookings (up to 3 people)
- More than 48 hours before your booking: 50% of the total booking value is retained or payable
- Within 48 hours of your booking: 100% of the total booking value is retained or payable
I understand plans can change, and I’m always happy to talk through your circumstances — these guidelines simply help me manage my calendar fairly for every client.
Please have a clean, moisturised face ready at the agreed time. If I arrive and I’m unable to begin on schedule due to circumstances outside my control (for example, you’re unavailable or unready for an extended period), a waiting fee may apply, calculated per 15-minute block. If you’re unreachable and unable to proceed on the day, the full service fee still applies, as this time was reserved exclusively for you.
As a genuinely mobile makeup artist, I travel to your home, hotel or venue. Travel within the Central Coast is included in standard pricing; a travel fee applies for locations further afield, including the Hunter Valley and the Greater Sydney area, calculated based on distance and confirmed at the time of booking. Parking costs, including at hotels, must be covered by the client.
Clients are responsible for disclosing any known allergies, skin sensitivities or medical conditions (such as eczema, dermatitis or cold sores) at the time of booking, so I can select appropriate products. I accept no liability for reactions arising from allergies or sensitivities not disclosed prior to the appointment.
Please reschedule your appointment if you’re feeling unwell, have an active cold sore, eye infection, or any contagious skin condition on the day. This protects both of us, and helps me keep my equipment and products hygienic for every client.
I may ask, on the day or shortly after your appointment, whether I can photograph your finished look for use in my portfolio, website or social media (including Instagram and Facebook). I always ask individually — I’ll never use your image without your specific permission for that occasion, and you’re welcome to decline at any time without affecting your service.
Current pricing is listed on my Pricing page and is accurate at the time of publishing, but may be updated from time to time. The price I confirm at the time of your booking is the price that applies to your appointment.
While I take every care to use professional, hygienic and high-quality products, I’m not liable for any allergic reaction, skin irritation or dissatisfaction with makeup longevity arising from factors outside my reasonable control, including weather conditions, skin type, undisclosed allergies, or your own skincare routine prior to the appointment. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right or remedy that can’t lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
In the rare event I’m unable to attend your appointment due to illness, injury, accident or circumstances beyond my reasonable control, I’ll do my best to arrange a suitably qualified replacement artist or offer a full refund of monies paid for that appointment.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
I may update these Terms from time to time; the version published on this website at the time of your booking is the version that applies.
